THERE IS A TANDEM BIKE FOR EVERY DUO

...and Wheelworks has them all

WHY WHEELWORKS?

We treat tandems as their own category because they’re very different than single bikes. Riding a tandem allows two riders of different abilities to ride together - not by limiting the stronger rider, but by using coordination and communication to erase limitations.

Riding a tandem starts with understanding who does what on the bike. The captain (rider on the front) is responsible for holding the bike up when you’re stopped. The stoker (rider in the rear) is responsible for powering the bike from a stop, and following the captain’s body weight while the bike is moving. When you shop for a tandem at Wheelworks, we help you understand how to ride a tandem, in addition to helping you find the tandem bike that’s right for you.

OUR BRANDS

We proudly offer tandem bikes from the top brands in the industry, including Co-Motion and Calfee Design. To make your ride truly stand out, we also offer custom tandem bike options from Co-Motion. And if you’re looking for replacement tandem parts, we have those on hand, too!

WHICH STYLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Tandem bikes are as varied as single bikes. We have options for recreational riders, families, mountain and road cyclists, and world travelers. We have double and triple gearing options as well as electronic and mechanical drivetrain options. Best of all, we have an expert on hand, Ed, to ask you the right questions and help you find the perfect fit for your riding style and preferred terrain.
