Founded as the Bicycle Manufacturing Company in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1986, the BMC bicycle brand was launched in 1994 and by 2002, their designs were being ridden at the highest level of professional road bike competition. Triathlon bikes joined the lineup in 2004, then mountain bikes in 2007.
