A dedicated all-mountain winter riding pant that combines winterproof fabrics, function-driven details, and trail-tuned fit to keep you performing at your optimum in harsh, cold riding conditions. Until now there was little chance of finding an off-road riding pant that promised a warm, dry lower half and promoted a full range of motion during the toughest months of the year. We changed that. We borrowed a few design elements from our Cargo Shorts, like the smooth-wrap waist design for a comfortable fit that's free of clunky fasteners. On this version we made it slightly taller and added a silicone gripper at the rear to keep the pants securely in place. The pants are trim and fitted with a tapered hem—but loose enough to provide a full range of motion. We finished them off with two zippered thigh pockets, abrasion-resistant paneling at the hem, and a water-repellent treatment throughout. Our flexible RX EVO+ makes up the majority of the paneling. Its brushed warp-knit features an asymmetrical stretch, adds high levels of insulation, and offers fleecy comfort against the skin. Added to the saddle area and inner leg panels along the hem, we applied our membrane-backed NEOS MILD, ensuring water, mud, wheel spray, and cold air is properly deflected. The pants' trailFit follows the body's natural motions in, and out, of the saddle —trim, but never restrictive. Their AZPtech (abdomZeroPressure) waist construction, takes that concept even further with a soft, highly elastic material to further improve comfort and hold at the waist, minus any pressure or pinching.

This jacket does three things really well: the Tempesta Stretch fabric provides full waterproof protection, the four-way stretch makes it fit any body type, and it looks great on and off the bike. Compared with our more expensive GORE-TEX Idro jackets, you give up the best-in-class breathability and extreme packability, but you gain a stretch fit and increased durability. We developed the fabric to our own specifications to make a jacket that is fully waterproof, comfortably stretchy, packable enough to fit in a jersey pocket, and with an appearance and hand that make it look great. This is meant to be a rain shell worn over a jersey, so we've forgone the external pockets and kept the construction simple to minimize seams. AEROBIC COLD-WEATHER RIDING This is the jacket we made for cold-weather riding. IF YOU HAD JUST ONE JACKET The Perfetto RoS is the one jacket that does everything well. We initially designed it as a cool-weather training and extreme-weather race piece for our pro riders, but in reality, it excels in many conditions thanks to its full wind protection, great fit through stretchy fabrics, and best-in-class breathability. Winter 2019 represents the biggest performance upgrade in the four generations of this jacket. RoS in the name signifies Rain or Shine. The emphasis should be on dry-weather comfort, which is where this jacket really excels, but then you get near waterproof protection if you do get caught in the rain. We worked with Gore to develop two new Castelli exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER fabrics. We use a light fleece-lined water-resistant version on the forward-facing surfaces and a lighter, stretchier fabric on the back that maintains the breathability of the previous fabric while improving water repellency at the same time. The Perfetto RoS is that ideal weight: no built-in insulation so you can layer over a light base layer for moderate conditions. Or you can add a thermal jersey underneath and take it to very cold conditions. You decide. This is the Castelli of commute jackets, made to deliver maximum function on the bike and then look great when you get to work. We wanted a jacket that provides maximum visibility during those night commutes but doesn't look ridiculous with all kinds of silver reflective bands and strips when you get to the office. We applied a nearly unnoticeable reflective print on the entire surface of the jacket. You don't really see it when you're riding in the daytime or wearing the jacket off the bike, but at night the jacket reflects a distinctive pattern to get you noticed. We didn't stop at the reflectivity. The 20,000 mm water column means no water is coming through, ever. And the 20,000 MVTR breathability means that a good amount of moisture will escape. But it's the ventilation details that make this jacket stand out: there's a gaiter at the waist that you can close to seal out the wind or leave open to let some air come in from the bottom to keep you cooler. NOT YOUR NORMAL REMOVABLE-SLEEVE JACKET We went back to the design table to come up with a better way to make a removable-sleeve jacket and in the process created a brilliantly versatile jacket. The zippers sit just above the elbow and cover 3/4 of the circumference of the arm. With the sleeves in place, you have Castelli's top-performing Perfetto RoS long-sleeve jacket. Remove the sleeves and you have a real Gabba to wear with your Nano Flex arm warmers. The zippers are covered so you don't see them from the outside or feel them from the inside.
