An ultralight summer base layer featuring a seamless design and carbon yarns to keep your core cool, dry, and comfortable in balmy conditions. We're constantly refining the first-layer platform in the name of greater moisture management and overall comfort. Such is the case with the new Skin Layer family, taking the baton from our Skinfoils with much lighter designs, refined constructions, and better-performing fiber blends. We've lowered the SS Skin Layer's weight by roughly 25% compared to its Skinfoil predecessor and used a tubular knit technology that's free of irritating side seams. A new blend of carbon and polypropylene yarns have been strategically arranged to manage moisture much better than previous iterations, resulting in a breathable, antibacterial short-sleeved first layer that keeps you cool and dry from the base up. The Circular Seamless construction introduces a tubular knit that's free of side seams, creating an ultrasoft, comfortable feel against the body. The sleeves are sewn directly into the armhole to promote a full range of motion beneath additional layers.

Maximum thermal protection and body-mapped comfort in a long-sleeved base layer, tuned for the coldest, most demanding winter riding conditions. Building on our protective Winter LS Skin Layer, the Ultraz edition turns up the warmth and windblocking capabilities even further with its wool-blended knit. We see this as the ultimate defensive first layer in the most challenging winter conditions, as it goes into overdrive at the core level to keep you dry and your temperature stable. A robust arctic-tuned blend of polypropylene and wool are employed, serving as the ultimate next-to-skin foundation when maximum thermal- and windblocking-protection are most critical. The Ultraz relies on a Circular Seamless construction that's both ultrasoft and free of irritating side seams. The sleeves are sewn directly into the armholes to promote a full range of motion beneath additional layers.

The foundational layer for the cold, challenging conditions of winter, refined with increased throat coverage, more protection in critical areas, and increased breathability. Behind the product The updated insulation pattern on the Winter Skin Layer mimics the protection of Assos' winter jackets: a tighter weave on the front panel increases insulation on the area most exposed to windchill while a more open weave on the back panel promotes breathability and modulates heat in less exposed areas. The updated textile also provides increased antimicrobial properties with permanent odorControl.

The warmest foundational layer for winter’s coldest, most extreme conditions, refined with an ultra-high collar, additional odorControl, and a highly elastic wool blend for body-mapping insulation. Behind the product Merino wool and a highly elastic, highly insulating synthetic blend provide the most insulation of any of Assos' skin layers, with an updated neck-warmer collar construction that extends the protection. The ultrasoft textile doesn’t irritate like wool, and its high elasticity means it also doesn’t lose its shape when it stretches. Instead, it moves with your body, maintaining a low-volume, next-to-skin fit to trap warmth and expel moisture – both of which are critical for comfort in deep winter.
