Specialized Women's Ambassador, Rachele Pojednic (on the right).

Women's "She's Going for Distance! She's Going for Speed!" Ride with Specialized and Wheelworks!

By Popular Request!

September 16th, Specialized Ambassador Rachele Pojednic and Wheelworks' Cat Bartash will lead a faster paced longer ride.

Starting at 8 am at Ace Wheelworks, Cat will lead riders from Somerville to Belmont Wheelworks to meet with Rachele.  The route will be closer to 50-60 miles and at a 15-16 mph average pace.

What to expect - A 50-60 mile ride at a faster pace (15-16mph average) on mostly back roads.  This is a non-competitive group ride, but geared for intermediate to stonger riders. The ride will begin from ACE Wheelworks promply at 8:00am. The group will ride over to Belmont Wheelworks to meet up with riders from there. There will be a stop to replenish water supplies - most likely in Concord.

Requirements -  Helmets & road worthy bikes in good working condition. *Sorry guys, this is a women's only ride! Please also make sure you have enough water for a 60 mile ride, snacks, and tools for roadside repairs.

Technical Support -  We will have mechanics at the shop on Sunday Morning before the ride and all the free air you can fit in your tires!

Suggestions -  Please have bikes in good working condition prior to the ride. Please check the weather and dress appropriately. Don't forget to fill your water bottles and pack a Clif Bar or two.
